After its release date reveal at the Bethesda E3 2019 conference, DOOM Eternal’s box art has now also been revealed. As you might expect, it’s heavy metal as Hell.
While it’s not as immediately eye-catching as the DOOM 2016 box art (the interior one, at least), there’s no denying its loveliness.

Are there any other games out there with box art that is this traditionally excellent? I remember when DOOM 2016’s cover was revealed and there was a big furore over it not being DOOM-like enough, leading to them having that amazing inlay inspired by the original game. Good to see they’re going for the jugular from the off.
UPDATED: we also have the box art for Eternal’s Deluxe Edition. This is the same art that was adorned over buildings leading up to E3.
DOOM Eternal launches on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One on November 22nd.
