Devil May Cry 5’s Bloody Palace Launches This April

Bloody good timing, that.

Devil May Cry 5

Capcom have announced when Devil May Cry 5 fans can expect to see the Bloody Palace be added to the game as DLC: April 1st. No, this is not an out of season April Fool’s joke, it’s genuinely dropping on the 1st of April for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for free.

Everyone who loves Devil May Cry also loves Bloody Palace: a wave-based mode where you have to take on increasingly difficult enemies until you reach the top of an ascending “elevator”. You can pit yourself up against other players on the leaderboards, though this feature has not been confirmed by Capcom just yet.

Personally, I’d love to see an endless mode for Bloody Palace, potentially a set difficult level with randomised enemies that you can just keep decimating until you eventually die. We will find out exactly what the update entails closer to the time.

Speaking of bloody things, Devil May Cry 5 itself is bloody good. From our Devil May Cry 5 review (which is also pretty bloody neat, if we may say so):

“Multiplayer and loading screens aside, Devil May Cry 5 is exactly what it was meant to be and more. With a great plot, beautiful visuals, and near perfect gameplay, Capcom delivers possibly the best Devil May Cry to date.”
