Desperados 3 is a pretty long game that will take you dozens of hours to complete. For the total completionists out there, you will likely want to complete the special The Baron’s Challenges the game gives you.
These Challenges take can be found from Mission Select and are remixes of levels you have already played with different characters and special criteria to hit. One of them even turns New Orleans into a Lovecraftian nightmare.
You first unlock Challenges in Desperados 3 after completing Level 8 – The Queen’s Nest, which is shortly after you play as Isabelle for the first time.
Once unlocked, you can find them in the bottom left in Mission Select.
There are five Challenges in total to unlock from day one in Desperados 3, though the developers are planning to add more Challenges as free updates down the line.
Here’s what’s currently available:
– One Woman Army
– Hazards of the Trade
– The Devil Is In The Details
– For A Few Bullets More
All of this means that you’re getting plenty of bang for your buck if you do end up buying Desperados 3. It’s a lot longer and deeper than you may at first think.
Desperados 3 releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on June 16th. From our review:
“Featuring a beefy campaign, charming characters, and a daunting yet captivating difficulty, Desperados 3 brings the franchise hooting and hollering back to life — and maybe better than ever.”
