As one of the biggest games of 2020 (and of all time), you better believe that Cyberpunk 2077 is packed with easter eggs and cameos. One of the biggest is the Metal Gear auteur himself, Hideo Kojima.
Kojima, who’s no strange to celebrity cameos based on how many he jammed into Death Stranding, turns up in Cyberpunk 2077 in a moment that is a little hard to miss for anyone who doesn’t want to stray off the beaten path.
Appearing as Oshima, an artist who wants you to pitch something him while surrounded by what seems like a bunch of sycophants, Kojima can be found in a main mission by the name of The Heist. You will encounter this mission within a few hours if you’re just playing through the story and not getting distracted by the rest of the game.
To bump into Kojima, when Jackie asks if you want to go straight to your room or check out the bar, choose to go to the bar instead. Jackie will then leave you to explore the bar, and there’s a table that stands out in particular. As soon as you walk past the golden concierge, carry straight on ahead and there will be Oshima, otherwise known as Hideo Kojima. He will tell you all about artistry and the craft in his native Japanese tongue.
