CV ASKS: What’s Your Rainy Day Game?

Witcher Blood and WIne

The biggest strife of the modern gamer is the amount of games there are to play versus the amount of free time adulthood provides. I am too familiar with this, my list of games that I haven’t even been able to touch growing bigger by the day. Hell, Ash knows this pain even more keenly as he made a series out of his never-ending Pile of Shame.

I often like to fantasise about what it would be like if everything just fell away, though. If it was just me stranded on a desert island (with the internet and electricity) with all the time in the world to go through games that I have missed out on over the years.

Though my pile is getting to the size now where it may be able to legally drink soon, there is one game that I vow to myself to play, a game that I keep putting off diving into until the time is absolutely right. That game is The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine. I’ve had the DLC for two years now and haven’t been able to go near it. There’s no way I will have 100 hours to spare anytime soon.

And it sucks, because The Witcher 3 is one of my all-time favourites. I even managed to dust off Hearts of Stone, but Blood and Wine is a bit too daunting for me. But I resolve to one day, one glorious day, totally dip back into Geralt’s world for one last time.

How about you? What game in your library are you saving for a special occasion? Be sure to let me know down in the comments or via our Facebook or Twitter.
