It’s time to say goodbye to any hint of a social life that you may have: Crusader Kings 2 is free on Steam right now for a limited team. Could this be a sign that they’re trying to rev up interest in the series before a new game/expansion? We can pray.
Head over here and login to your Steam account and click install game. That’s it. No strings attached. One of the best strategy games of all-time is now yours to keep. It’s only available until April 7th at 10:00 PDT/13:00 EDT/17:00 GMT so don’t hesitate if you don’t own it already.
I have a long and mixed history with CK2. While I loved shaping the world in my image (i.e. renaming all of the countries to pay reverence to R&B stars), it did kind of totally ruin my life my consuming it entirely. I already have it installed and have managed to resist its siren call so far; who knows how much longer I can resist.
If you have had enough of Crusader Kings to last you a lifetime, have you checked out Paradox’s Surviving Mars yet? It’s equally destructive of your social life, so get on it if you don’t particularly fancy seeing real people for upwards of a month.
