After leaking ahead of time, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time has been officially revealed via a brand new gameplay trailer. It’s launching on October 2nd for PS4 and Xbox One, and you can check out the trailer for yourself below, where it takes shots at Wrath of Cortex and others by acting like the past four mainline Crash games didn’t exist.

Crash 4 follows on directly from the third game, with Dr Neo Cortex returning from his banishment, tearing a hole through the dimensions as a result. In order to save the universe, Crash will need to unite the 4 Quantum Masks, with each mask offering new abilities. The Time mask allows Crash to slow down time, while the Gravity mask can flip the gravity of a level in order to solve impossible obstacles.

Players will be able to play as Crash and Coco at any time, while certain levels and moments will allow you to play as other characters, including Neo Cortex. These characters will have their own special abilities, which should keep the game varied throughout its runtime. Are you excited for Crash 4 to launch on October 2nd? Sound off in the comments.
