Chris Cornell To Feature On New Johnny Cash Poetry Album

An as yet undated new Johnny Cash album will feature a guest spot from Chris Cornell.

Before his death, Cornell was invited to work on Johnny Cash Forever Words: The Music by Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash.

The album is Cash’s unearthed poetry book released last year set to music – one of the poems found dated back to 1944 when Johnny Cash was just twelve years old.

Jewel, T-Bone Burnett and Kacey Musgraves will join Cornell on the album, which does not yet have a release date.

Cash covered Soundgarden’s Rusty Cage back in 1996, so this is a fitting completion of the circle. Check it out below.
