Major Nelson has just announced the latest addition to the ever growing backwards compatibility library, and it doesn’t get much better than this one. Unless it was Burnout 3. That was better. Check out the tweet below.

Burnout Revenge was the fourth instalment in the Burnout series, and was basically just Burnout 3 with more stuff. The Crash Mode was expanded upon to include some new mechanics, whilst the racing aspect was bolstered by the likes of traffic checking and more. If you subscribe to the “more is always better” theory of sequels, Burnout Revenge was a slam dunk. For our money, we preferred the more simplistic nature of Burnout 3. More killer, less filler. Or something.
