How Britain-Hating Cameron Fuels Terror

In his speech during a Conservative conference in early October, David Cameron perfected the art of doublespeak. Recalling O’Brien in George Orwell’s mercilessly quoted 1984, Cameron blended hyperbolae with political spin to rewrite history in a sentence and claim the future as his own. Applause consumed the hall as Cameron fed the fix for a soundbite in a post-patience era by successfully caricaturing Jeremy Corbyn as a threat to national security. The Britain-hating, terrorist loving ideologue managed to convince a few million people across the country that a jam-making, vegetarian anti-fascist wanted to coerce every pub to serve only cous-cous on tap and force families to adopt a nettle a month.

Cameron, who leads the Conservative and Unionist Party, to give the contemptuous horde their full moniker, detests this country and the working-class who keep it economically mobile and socially cohesive. Scrutiny of his domestic acts of pillaging are unnecessary. As somebody who makes a cacophonous din about patriotic defence of the realm, cursory analysis of Tory foreign policy under Cameron demonstrates that he’s compounding the historic crimes ranging from the Balfour Declaration to the illegal Iraq war. Forged in the furnace of realpolitik, smelted by capitalist lust and polished by political hubris, Tory foreign policy is sustained by alliances with nations who foster terror and threaten working-class Britons. Cameron’s willingness to sell arms to governments who oppress the very people who already think the West is wilfully destroying their livelihoods is fostering bilious resentment and putting working-class people, the first victims of imperialist-driven reprisals, in real danger.

The most hideous example of Cameron’s doublespeak is his approval of the sale of raw materials for chemical weapons to Syrian despot Bashar Al-Assad. A report by the Commons Committees on Arms Export Controls (CAEC) in 2013 showed that the favoured hate-figure of the West was provided with Sodium Fluoride, an ingredient used in chemical weapons, by UK contractors and approved in the first two years of the Tory-led Coalition. The approval of arms licenses shows Cameron’s criticism of Assad is completely hollow. It’s sickening to think that the factional massacre that has claimed many innocent lives has been fuelled behind the camera’s glare. It’s in the interests of Britain’s arms dealers and Cameron for Assad to remain in place for as long possible, before he is dislodged like a rotten tooth. Arms contractors benefit financially from weapons sales, and Cameron writes his name into history by attacking the unambiguously monstrous Assad, thereby fulfilling the Saudi and Israeli governments’ bidding. The next time BBC News shows Syrians mauled by a Sarin gas attack, know that British taxpayers’ money has funded the destruction of innocent Syrian lives.

Cameron’s unwavering support for terror-state Israel is also fostering hatred among Muslims who believe American and British foreign policy is made in Israel’s Knesset and by pro-Israel lobbyists. Pathologically disturbed Benyamin Nethanyahu was given £7.8 billion worth of arms according to the CAEC’s report because Israel trades with Britain and trains British security forces. Domestically, powerful lobbyist group Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI) commands sizeable support within the party. Combined, these factors have solidified the relationship. The fact that Netanyahu recently attributed the holocaust to the Grand Mufti of Palestine at the time, thereby exonerating Adolf Hitler, doesn’t matter. Israel’s incumbent fanatic is leading a fascist extermination campaign of the Palestinians that’s unremittingly supported by Cameron, because the Tories benefit from Israel’s economic prowess and military assistance. At home, the Tories are guaranteed a chequebook to rest on, thanks to the CFI. Alistair Sloan revealed that no fewer than thirteen cabinet ministers, including Home Secretary Theresa May, attended the CFI’s ‘biggest ever’ business lunch in December 2014. Several CFI members have given generously to the Tories since 2010, including Deputy Chairman and company director Hilda Worth, who donated £86,000. Proof, if any was needed, that Cameron’s inhumanity is manifest in his slavish subservience to Zionist sponsored lucre. Needless to say, there is no Conservative Friends of Palestine lobby group.

Cameron’s obsequiousness towards the morally decrepit Saudi regime further endangers lives. The Saudis’ human rights record is eminently atrocious, but more concerning is its reputation as the factory of extreme Islamism. A combination of Wahhabism, an austere reading of the Qu’ran and radical political Islam is the Saudi’s primary export, and, alongside Zionism, the main source of terror in today’s world. Various extremists are supported by Saudi Arabia, and de facto Cameron, courtesy of the mutually shameful arms licenses brokered between the two states. Nicholas Gilby’s Deception in High Places reveals how successive British governments have covertly engineered arms contracts between the UK and Saudi Arabia. Gilby also divulged that in 2013 Saudi Arabia was the biggest receiver of arms, importing £1.6 billion worth of weapons from Britain. The relationship with the Saudis is perhaps the most shocking example of realpolitik, guided by the mechanics of the capitalist system. Saudi’s somewhat unfair treatment of gay people and women is joyfully ignored because of their ravenous appetite for instruments of death. The loathsome Saudi royal family repays Cameron’s failing pulse by investing in luxurious accommodation by the Thames that makes surrounding houses unaffordable for ordinary people. Everybody who’s not the British electorate or a Saudi citizen wins.

Cameron’s arms deals, support for dictators and back-stage plotting have combined to destabilise the world. For the sake of money, and his political legacy, Cameron has tarnished this country’s soul and doomed us to an age of insecurity. Capitalists like Cameron ferociously pursue status and wealth at the expense of public well-being, leaving us flailing in a blizzard of doublespeak and profit motivated collusions. Like wary Britons, Arabs in the Middle East are not stupid. They are fully aware of their countries’ histories, which have seen UK Prime Minister after Zionist murderer interfere in democratic processes. They know that Cameron disingenuously decries Assad’s bloodletting while simultaneously signing off arms licences to his regime. People often question why disenfranchised British Muslims go to Syria, a country they’ve never been to, to fight for ISIS. The answer is because they are sick of imperialist governments surreptitiously orchestrating the slaughter of their own people in the name of ‘spreading democracy’. British Muslims see pictures of suffering Palestinians, and their affinity towards them grows stronger than any link between them and the Conservatives ever could. When their brothers and sisters are being killed because of western interests, then they have every right to be enraged. Nothing justifies the cancerous fascism of ISIS, but as long as Cameron remains in power, we will be unsafe.
