Even though he hasn’t been Marvel’s best utilised superhero in a number of years and certainly isn’t a PG character, it seems as if Blade, the iconic vampire hunter, will be coming to Fortnite as a skin and potentially even a boss.
Just as the v14.20 patch was being deployed, Epic sent out mini-patch notes to content creators that went over new things coming to the game, including BTS and Wolverine as a boss.
They also highlighted a few letters in red, which spells out Daywalker, Blade’s nickname.
On top of this, a legacy was updated for Blade that asked players to snipe opponents as the man himself, first discovered by FireMonkey.
This pretty much confirms that Blade will be coming to Fortnite at some point, even if the image above actually depicts Galactus.
Daywalker is a name given to Blade as he is half-human, half-vampire. His mother was bitten by a vampire while he was in the womb, giving him the powers of a vampire while also meaning that he could still walk around in the day unlike actual vampires, hence Daywalker.
When Will Blade Release In Fortnite?
Your guess is as good as ours, it’s always difficult to tell with these new Marvel leaks.
However, based off the fact that the skin isn’t actually in the game’s files just yet (or it at least encrypted), we expect it will take a good few weeks before Blade comes to Fortnite. He will almost certainly be an Item Shop skin that will set you back at least 1500 V-Bucks, much like other Marvel skins this season.
