15 Best Modern WWE Entrance Themes

10.‭ ‬Tyler Breeze

A theme that I sorely miss.‭ ‬Tyler’s original supermodel gimmick has taken a back-seat since teaming with Fandango and creating a psuedo-Zoolander‭ (‬psuedoolander‭?) ‬gimmick.‭ ‬Breezango’s theme meshed both Dango’s and Breeze’s themes together to create some funky remix,‭ ‬but it didn’t truly match up to Breeze’s custom entrance theme.‭

Nothing screams narcissistic quite like a theme that goes on about how great they look.‭ ‬Shades of Shawn Michaels,‭ ‬Breeze’s theme helped him stand out from the rest of his class whilst on NXT. But as per most call-ups,‭ he ‬was soon to be subjected to jobber entrances a month or two after his debut.‭

9.‭ ‬The Ascension‭

Speaking of failed call-ups,‭ ‬my boys Konnor and Viktor are about to get some love‭! ‬The common ground amongst most fans is that people enjoy The Ascension’s entrance.‭ ‬Rightfully so‭! ‬They have the shredding guitar,‭ ‬the seizure-inducing titantron and they shout a lot.‭

It’s a theme that triggers this need to go crazy,‭ ‬to mosh and scream along with them‭. It’s ‬Something I feel could be a real drawing point for The Ascension if they were put on TV a little more.‭ ‬It’s basic,‭ ‬easily identified and unique to them.‭

The amount of times I’ve seen someone suggest the flaming guitar dude from Mad Max:‭ ‬Fury Road show up and perform their theme at a Wrestlemania; ‬you can’t deny that you want to see this happen‭.

8.‭ ‬Sami Zayn‭

Everyone loves a good underdog babyface.‭ ‬Everyone loves a theme they can sing along to and dance around in joy when they eventually walk away with the title.‭ ‬Everyone loves Sami Zayn’s theme.‭

At first I was a little dubious about the Saturday morning cartoon jingle,‭ ‬but I’ve come to appreciate that it perfectly sums up his personality and his character.‭ ‬It mirrors the thrashing and ominous tune of his counterpart Kevin Owens,‭ ‬which even though it’s probably unintentional,‭ ‬speaks for this generation and who should be heading it as the flag-bearers for good and evil.‭ ‬On that note,‭ ‬Kevin Owens, you got a good theme too, sir.‭

7.‭ ‬Bobby Roode

The moment fans at an NXT taping first heard the word Glorious,‭ ‬they were hooked.‭ ‬Every single person on this Earth,‭ ‬aware of wrestling or not,‭ ‬has burst into a serenade of Bobby Roode’s theme‭ (‬fact based on science‭)‬.‭

I caught Bobby in his debut tour for NXT in June of last year,‭ ‬where he appeared with a pretty generic theme involving lots of strumming and a little bit of Southern twang,‭ ‬for some reason.‭ ‬Instantly I thought there was no way Roode would become a star in WWE if he were to be sent out with that as his theme.‭ ‬Thankfully they rectified that pretty quickly and gave him this absolute marvel of a tune.‭

It’s a magical moment when thousands of people sing along in unison to Bobby’s theme.‭ ‬I think a lot of his success needs to be credited to this song.‭

6.‭ ‬AJ Styles‭

Jimmy said that I couldn’t not put this on the list.‭ ‬So here it is.‭ ‬AJ Styles.‭ ‬Pretty cool theme I guess.‭ ‬Yep.‭

Seriously though,‭ ‬it’s hype‭. ‬One of those which I didn’t think would last long,‭ ‬considering the tendency to use more rock/metal based themes for the current superstars,‭ ‬but it was a pleasant change from the usual hearing church organs and RnB.‭

Phenomenal stuff.
