Fresh off the re-release of Yakuza 1 in the form of Yakuza Kiwami, SEGA are reportedly working on remasters for Bayonetta, Vanquish and Shenmue.
Spotted by those eagle-eyed devils over on NeoGAF, a bunch of European stores have outed both a Shenmue 1+2 HD pack, along with a Vanquish and Bayonetta Double Pack, both available for PS4 and Xbox One.
Whilst the original listing for these releases on Alza.co.uk have been removed, NeoGaf were able to pull the supposed boxart for the Vanquish/Bayonetta release. Listings for Shenmue 1 and 2 lack this kind of information, and look a little something like this. Thanks VG247.
Bayonetta and Vanquish are no strangers to the old re-release method, as both have been recently updated and improved and for release on PC.
Even just in terms of console re-releases, Platinum Games have been stoking the flames of speculation with this tweet below seemingly pointing towards a Switch release for Bayonetta 1 and 2. It’s not outside of the realm of imagination for both games to find their way to both PS4 and Xbox One sooner or later.

The interesting wildcard here in this mix is Shenmue. Fans have been clamouring for a HD update for years now, and with the Kickstarter for Shenmue 3 being the most funded videogame on Kickstarter ever, there’s empirical evidence there that gamers want more Shenmue.
If this leak is to be believed, SEGA are only too happy to oblige that demand. What better way to drum up interest in the next iteration of a franchise than by re-releasing the previous games in HD? Even Platinum Games mainstay Hideki Kamiya has been teasing a Bayonetta 3, which could arguably makes this reported leak more valid.
Wait till Bayo3. RT @koldspaghettio Is there an actual name for the world of chaos, like inferno and paradiso? Like Gaia, or something like

Of course, this is purely speculation for the moment. Until an official announcement is made, this could just be an elaborate prank by some bored digital store staffer trained in Photoshop. Take it with a pinch of salt, but we’ll dare to believe regardless.
