Battlefield V Teaser Trailer Seemingly Confirms WWII Setting

Battlefield V

Ahead of its proper reveal, DICE and EA have released the teasiest of teases for Battlefield V that seems to all but confirm that we will be travelling to World War II.

The super short clip features a soldier — presumably a tank commander or pilot due to the goggles — telling the player to shush, likely because he’s trying to spoil the most recent episode of Westworld for him.

Apart from that, there are symbols for the two teams at the top of the HUD that appear to be based on iconography from World War II: the Union Jack and the Balkenkreuz.

The description:

“Never be the same. Join us for the Battlefield V Live Reveal on May 23 at 1 p.m. PT / 4 p.m. ET / 10 p.m. CEST, presented by The Daily Show host Trevor Noah and the DICE development team.”

Who knows why Trevor Noah is there, but as long as Snoop Dogg appears at some point with a blunt between his lips, EA could consider the Battlefield V reveal a success. Tune in tomorrow to see what we can expect from Battlefield V.
