Battlefield 6: How To Redeem Your Battlefield 2042 Rewards

With the Road to Battlefield 6 event now wrapped up in Battlefield 2042 (and that game itself basically wrapped up for good), Battlefield 6 players who slogged through the event are probably wondering how to get their free cosmetics. Here’s a simple breakdown of what you need to know now that the event’s over.

What Do I Need To Do?

If you took part in the Road to Battlefield 6 and completed every tier, your earned rewards are linked directly to your EA ID rather than your console or platform. That means whether you played on PC, PlayStation, or Xbox, your progress and unlocked items are stored server-side. Once Battlefield 6 launches, they’ll transfer automatically to your new loadout and customization menus. There is no need to redeem a code or re-earn anything. Beware of any scams around this.

How to Access Rewards in Battlefield 6

When you first log into Battlefield 6, make sure it’s the same EA account used in Battlefield 2042. After the initial sync, your carry-over cosmetics will appear in your inventory under their respective categories (weapon skins, vehicles, or soldier customization).

Here’s what you could have earned from each tier on that free pass:

  • Tier 8 – Western Front Weapon Skin + more (Battlefield 1)
  • Tier 19 – Muller Weapon Skin + more (Battlefield V)
  • Tier 30 – Aurora Vehicle Skin + more (Bad Company 2)
  • Tier 40 – Blackburn Vehicle Skin + more (Battlefield 3)
  • Tier 49 – Commander Soldier Skin + more (Battlefield 4)
  • Tier 60 – Sovereign Soldier Skin + more (Battlefield 2042)

It’s honestly quite fiddly to change cosmetic appearance in Battlefield 6 currently. From the main menu, go to Loadouts > Appearance then fiddle with all the different classes and factions until you find your rewards.

What the Event Was

Running from August 18 to October 7, 2025, the Road to Battlefield 6 crossover was EA’s way of keeping 2042 players engaged ahead of the next game. Completing weekly challenges and seasonal objectives in Battlefield 2042 unlocked themed cosmetics (weapon skins, player cards, and charms) some of which were exclusive to BF6. These weren’t claimable immediately but were tied to your EA account, ensuring pretty smooth and painless continuity.
