But will it be enough?

After the release of the Balan Wonderworld demo in January, feedback and reception to the game was certainly tepid at best, and it would appear that Square Enix have noticed. In a new letter from Noriyoshi Fujimoto, the producer of Balan Wonderworld, it’s been revealed that the game will receive a significant day one patch when it launches on March 26th.

So What’s In The Patch?

While this patch isn’t going to completely overhaul the gameplay, it will address a number of key issues that were identified during the demo, including the movement and camera controls, along with the overall difficulty of the game itself.

In the letter, Noriyoshi writes: “There’s been a wide range of opinions and responses to the demo, and unfortunately at the current stage of development, it simply isn’t feasible to reflect every piece of feedback into the game. However, to offer you all a more balanced gameplay experience, we will be implementing a day one patch for the full game.”

Whether this will be the only patch Balan Wonderworld receives, or if there will be plenty of post-launch support to turn the game into a real winner, remains to be seen. All I know is the demo gave me a migraine that knocked me on my arse for a full day, so the full game has some work to do in my opinion.
