August 2018’s Humble Monthly Games Offer A Great Deal

A Hat in Time

It’s hard to deny that July was a bit of an “off” month for July with no real huge hitters, but August is making up for that in spades with three Early Unlock titles that you can play right now if you either subscribe for the first time or pay early if you’re already a subscriber.

The headlining act is arguably A Hat In Time, which has been described as being everything Yooka-Laylee wished it was. An old-school platformer down its DNA, it’s as revered a modern platformer as you will find and also retails for around $12 on its own, let alone alongside two other games.

Conan Exiles, the survival game from Funcom that’s their most successful game to date, is another good addition, especially as it’s only just recently launched out of Early Access. It’s not for everyone, but any game in which your balls feel the breeze of crisp morning is a good game in my book.

DEAL: The Escapists 2, Conan Exiles, and A Hat In Time for $12

Conan Exiles

Lastly, The Escapists 2 may not be as beloved as the original game, though it does have its fair share of things to love. With more ways to escape from prison than ever before and some upgraded visuals, it’s worth the price of admission on its own if you want to live out your Prison Break fantasies with 95% less melodrama.

These are just the first three games for the bundle with more to unlock when the month is up. If you’re a Humble Monthly subscriber, you also gain access to the Trove: an always growing library of free games that are completely DRM-free. Even if you only sign up for a month, they’re yours to keep forever. The Sexy Brutale and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs have been added this month, with the former one of the most underrated games of last year.

To take advantage of Humble Monthly, you need to sign up for a Humble account and also have a Steam account to redeem keys. Elsewhere on Humble right now, the DRM-free sale offers big savings without you signing away your data and also big savings on the Sonic franchise.
