August 2017’s Free PlayStation Plus Games Available Today

Exploding cows and assassins are on the menu for August 2017’s PlayStation Plus offerings, which are all available from today.

For the first time in forever, the games are available from the start of the month and not a few days in.

It’s another solid month from Sony as it includes a game that might offer dozens of hours of nonsense gameplay. Just Cause 3, while admittedly pretty poor in the optimisation department, is still a fun way to vent some of your demons – there aren’t many other games that let you attach fireworks to your enemies and cackle with glee as they fly away like leaves on the wind.

Also up for grabs comes Freedom Cry, one of the better Assassin’s Creed expansions and spin-offs of the roughly 548 that Ubisoft have released. It will give you at least ten hours of neck-slicing and hay-jumping so be sure to check it out if you haven’t yet.

That’s You, the first in the Playlink series, continues its free run for subscribers into August. It’s a fun little party game that’s at its best with a room full of people. Fair warning: make sure your mobile phone is at least somewhat modern or it will be like trying to send an email with a box of sticks and old crisp packets.

Depending on your region, August’s free games should become available after noon.
