After sitting my arse down and making my way through the whole of the first series of Attack on Titan, I was left pretty knackered. It’s a damn fine show, but watching all the gasping and melodrama would definitely have been better over a longer period of time.
The guys at Koei Tecmo must have been listening to exactly what I wanted and have delivered exactly what I wanted from an Attack on Titan video game: a delicious stream of almost endless violence. It’s one of your five-a-day, you know.
In the above trailer just released today, there’s a definite sense of quality that you don’t get with many television adaptations. The animations look smoother than a tub of butter at speed dating, the tone seems to have been nailed perfectly and it is rightfully bloody violent. You would expect no less from Koei Tecmo, the guys behind Dead or Alive and the dynasty that is er, Dynasty Warriors.
More details of the game are sure to be announced in the coming months, but until its release in the West in 2016 on most platforms, we will have to make do with this for now.
