Everybody's ready.

Former RAW and NXT Women’s Champion, Asuka, made her triumphant return to WWE television last night after almost a year of being put on the shelf by injury. Asuka made her intentions pretty clear when interrupting ‘The Man’ in her first return promo since WrestleMania 38, where she lost the RAW Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair in one of the better matches from the two-night event. Asuka claimed she was going to stop her comeback and commence her own run at the top of the card.

The segment ended with the two briefly exchanging shots and Asuka getting the upper hand, setting up a major feud for WrestleMania: Backlash between two of the division’s biggest stars. This could be huge for the RAW Women’s roster, who haven’t exactly been thriving outside of the performances of Becky, Bianca and Rhea Ripley.

The last time these two were featured together was in the midst of the pandemic, when Becky Lynch forfeited her championship to the Women’s Money in the Bank winner, Asuka, so she could leave to have her child. This genuinely heart-warming moment will likely set the scene for their coming feud, and will draw on the same chemistry they had when they first clashed back in 2019.
