Ash of Gods Video Game Kickstarter Campaign Finishes Today

Ash of Gods

Fans of fantasy literature may be familiar with the Ash of Gods series by Russian author Sergey Malitsky. Developer Aurum Dust Studio is currently working on a video game based on the series, which is expected to be released in May 2018 for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and yes, the Nintendo Switch.

Malitsky wrote the script for the turn-based RPG, which features a mouth-wateringly beautiful 2D animation art-style. Don’t let that fool you into thinking that this will be a family game, however, as the intro cutscene below was pretty damn brutal.

The game’s score is being worked on by Adam Skorupa, who also created the music for the original Witcher back in 2007 and the controversial 2015 title Hatred, which received a rare Adults Only rating from the ESRB. Listen to a sample below:

Ash of Gods was successfully greenlit by the community on Steam and its Kickstarter campaign ends in just a few hours, so make haste and contribute if you feel that another classic-looking fantasy RPG is just what the world needs.
