Arrow’s Final Season Trailer Is Here

“Just one more thing I gotta do.”

This weekend the cast and crew for Team Arrow arrived to San Diego Comic Con for one final time to show off their season 8 trailer and talk about Oliver’s Queen’s journey coming to an end.

The trailer is a bit of montage that used snippets of Oliver’s past to weave together how his hero’s journey has come to pass. In Season 7, we were introduced to The Monitor, a powerful being tasked with observing the multiverse and preparing for an impending crisis. He left viewers in the finale with one of the most haunting statements the Green Arrow has ever been told: “I have watched you die.” The events of season 8 will serve as a direct catalyst for The Monitor’s preparation and what leads the Arrowverse to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

It should be interesting to see where in the timeline season 8 begins with Emily Bett Rickards not returning for the final bow. Rickards, aka Felicity Smoak, has been a mainstay of the series since season 1.

Other casting changes include new series regulars Ben Lewis, Katherine McNamara, and Joseph David-Jones as William Clayton, Mia Smoak, and Connor Hawke, respectively. They will be joined by new villain and leader of the Deathstroke Gang, John Diggle. Jr, played by Charlie Barnett (Russian Doll). Additionally, it looks like we will be seeing the return of Colin Donnell’s Tommy Merlyn and Josh Segarra’s Adrian Chase.

The 10-episode eighth season of Arrow will kick off the Arrowverse for the last time on October 15th. You can catch up on anything you missed now on Netflix.
