Midway through March, Twitch revealed that they would be adding free games for Twitch Prime subscribers to play, making it one of the best gaming subscription services out there as a result. PlayStation Plus and Games With Gold finally had a PC rival.
Last month’s debut offerings were certainly impressive, even if they weren’t available for all that long. Shadow Tactics, Superhot, and Mr. Shifty were just a few of the titles up for grabs for subscribers. While this month may not be quite as impressive, there are still a couple of gems.
Here are the free Twitch Prime games for April 2018:
Tales from the Borderlands
SteamWorld Dig 2
Kingsway
Tokyo 42
Dub Wars
Of that decent selection, SteamWorld Dig 2 should be your first port of call — it only came out in September of last year, which is a little nuts. After that, be sure to check out Tales From The Borderlands if you haven’t yet. It’s crazily underrated and one of the funniest games ever made, as well as deviating from the safe mechanics found in most Telltale games.
If you aren’t a member yet, you can sign-up through Amazon Prime at no extra cost and with a free trial available. The only slightly annoying thing about this new incentive is that you won’t be able to add these games to Steam and instead have to go through the Twitch launcher.
