Another 10 SEGA Mega Drive Mini Games Announced

Mega Man: The Wily Wars, Street Fighter 2: Special Champion Edition and more.

Mega Drive Mini

If you’re the type of person who can’t resist the latest bit of nostalgic technology, the SEGA Mega Drive Mini should be right up your alley. Or the Genesis Mini, if you live on the other side of the pond. Like all “mini” consoles, the Mega Drive will come pre-loaded with 40 games, along with authentic controllers and a miniaturised version of the original console. With 20 games already announced, SEGA have announced the next 10 games coming to the console. Check them out below.

– Mega Man®: The Wily Wars
– Street Fighter II’®: Special Champion Edition
– Sonic Spinball
– Phantasy Star IV
– Beyond Oasis
– Ghouls ‘N Ghosts®
– Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle
– Golden Axe
– Vectorman
– Wonder Boy in Monster World

As you can tell, Capcom play a huge part of the new batch of games. The biggest highlight is Mega Man: The Wily Wars, a previously US-only exclusive that includes the first three Mega Man games. So technically, this is 12 announced games, which is nice. If you’d rather play Street Fighter 2 with a six button set-up, SEGA will also be releasing a six-button controller in late August for £17.99.

The console itself will launch on September 19th, 2019, for the reasonable price of £69.99, which is a damn sight better priced than the huge Capcom Home Arcade. For more details about the Mega Drive Mini, check out the official website right here.
