Amazon’s Teaser Trailer For The Report Reveals A Star-Studded Cast

Is most of this movie going to be redacted?

Amazon has just dropped the teaser trailer for The Report, which looks jaw-droppingly tense and absolutely riveting. This is due in part to the subject matter, which involves staffer Daniel J. Jones (Adam Driver) being tasked by his boss Senator Dianne Feinstein (Annette Bening) to lead an investigation of the CIA’s Detention and Interrogation Program, which was created in the aftermath of 9/11.

It is looking to be a good year for Adam Driver, considering his attachment to this movie as well as Netflix’s Marriage Story, not forgetting his role in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. He is joined by a stellar cast, with the aforementioned Annette Benning, Jon Hamm, Michael C. Hall, Corey Stoll, Matthew Rhys and Maura Tierney. The film is produced by Steven Soderbergh, which is just even more of a selling point.

The Report is written and directed by Scott Z. Burns, who is mostly known for his writing, with movies like Contagion, Side Effects and the latest James Bond movie No Time To Die under his belt. The Report is not his directorial debut, but it does look like it might surpass his previous effort PU-239, which received a middling score of 57% on Rotten Tomatoes.

The movie will premiere in select movie theatres on November 15, 2019, and will subsequently be on Amazon Prime.
