Motion blur is perhaps one of the most contentious visual options in gaming, with many feeling like adding an extra layer of motion blur into a game can give them a headache or just ruin the game’s visual experience entirely. Motion blur is also present within Alone In The Dark, but unlike other games, you actually have multiple options when it comes to its usage, meaning players can customise their visual experience a little bit better.
In order to disable or adjust your motion blur experience in Alone In The Dark, you need to head to the Display section of the Options menu. At the bottom of this section is the option for motion blur, which can be changed from ultra, high, medium, low or off entirely. While you can adjust this setting on the main menu, it’s also available in the pause menu, meaning you can easily experiment while playing the game to get the motion blur setting that’s right for you.
Alone In The Dark is available now on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X & S.
