As was teased yesterday evening on AEW’s social media, a huge announcement was scheduled for today regarding AEW’s weekly TV show. In response to that, Cody dropped a massive trailer detailing AEW TV, providing a start date and the inaugural episode’s venue.

AEW is going start broadcasting from the Capital One arena in DC on Wednesday, October 2nd. The trailer suggests we’ll be seeing the entire AEW roster make their first appearances, including the likes of Jon Moxley, Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho. This is going to be a historic day for independent wrestling, and a huge threat to WWE’s ratings.

The AEW TV show will be broadcasted weekly, so if you enjoyed the recent AEW pay-per-views, then you’re in store for a hell of a lot of fun in October. Details regarding the UK TV deal with ITV is still up in the air, but I’d imagine we’ll be seeing AEW make its UK debut around the same date.

Talks between WWE and Fox have suggested that we might see NXT TV given it’s first official broadcast outside of the WWE Network in order to compete with AEW’s TV show. This could make for a really exciting ratings war, between arguably the two hottest promotions in American wrestling right now.
