After a first look at gameplay during Xbox’s E3 2018 briefing last night, Ubisoft have offered a closer look at what we can expect from The Division 2.
They started off with another cinematic trailer that promised hope before disappearing into despair, a look at a post-apocalyptic America in one beautiful and ugly shot. Props to Massive and Ubisoft for establishing such a bleak world so effectively.
Ubisoft revealed that raids would be coming to the game and allow eight players to team up together to take them on. They outlined that they will have three episodes of free DLC which included new stories and areas for everyone. Looks like they’re going down the cosmetic route instead of the season pass this time.
Judging from what we’ve seen of the game so far, it looks like The Division 2 won’t be a radical departure from the first game. That may not be enough to sway its dissenters, especially with dudes in baseball caps still taking enough bullets to down a family of blue whales, but we will just have to wait and see.
The Division 2 will launch on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on March 15, 2019.
