Myth Finds A New Use For Fortnite’s Guided Missile

Fortnite guided missile

The guide rocket launcher, or guided missile as it’s officially known, has been in Fortnite for a matter of hours and people are already finding ways of using it in interesting ways. It’s a good to get over a pesky wall or to just mess with people and send them running.

One of its most unique selling points so far, however, comes courtesy of Myth, who had a brainwave when he tried to check if he could rocket ride without the need of a teammate. Turns out that you can, but let’s just call the below a test run.

The guided rocket launcher works by switching control to the rocket itself, which leaves the player vulnerable. However, it keeps its trajectory if you cancel the control. With a little bit of fiddling (and some luck), players should be able guide the missile towards themselves, return to normal, and then jump on the rocket itself. You need to be pretty accurate all-round, but it’s doubtful that it will be long until Fortnite addicts make it the meta.

Alongside the introduction of the guided rocket launcher came the 3.4 patch which introduced a few notable improvements and changes. Shotgun colours have been adjusted to reflect power while not actually changing their usefulness. Elsewhere, the boogie bomb has been re-added after Epic noticed some issues and the grenade launcher has been renamed the egg launcher to tie in with the Easter event.
