If you tried to think of a publisher that ruffles the feathers of gamers the most, your mind’s probably going to go to EA. They’re just so easy to hate, which was evidenced by them “winning” the award for Worst Company in America multiple times.
But, and this is a big but, they might be trying to turn that around. They’ve been publishing some decent games as of late, and have revealed that Star Wars Battlefront II, the sequel to to the much maligned reboot, won’t be coming with a season pass. They’re baby steps, but baby steps in the right direction.
At recent E3 shows, EA have played it relatively safe, showing off their annual sports games and extra gameplay footage for already released games. They’re doing that again this year, though there might be some surprises in store.
Here’s what you need to know about EA at E3 2017.
EA Play

EA’s offer to gamers to come along and play some games returns for 2017, taking place from June 10-12. There’s a small change this time out: the venue is a little further away. Instead of being directly outside of the convention center, EA Play will be taking place at Hollywood Palladium, which is half an hour away.
Madden NFL 18, FIFA 18 and NBA LIVE 18, Battlefront II, the new Need for Speed and more will all be playable, alongside “detailed gameplay deep dives, competitive events, and exclusive interviews with the development teams.”
The event will be livestreamed through EA’s social channels.
EA E3 2017 Keynote Briefing

EA will take to the stage at this year’s E3 on Saturday, June 10. It will kick off at 12 PM PT/3 PM ET.
Expect to see their annual sports games (including FIFA 18’s version of The Journey) and more from Battlefront 2 and Need For Speed. What else could we see? Rumors are circling that a new Dragon Age is in the offing, so watch this space.
