Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius Exceeds Five Million Downloads

When it comes to gaming, Final Fantasy is a powerhouse franchise, so it won’t shock you to learn that the latest mobile game in the series, Brave Exvius has now exceeded five million downloads since its international release last month. This number does not include the six and a half million Japanese players who had already purchased it.

To celebrate this milestone, from July 26-30, players will receive 50 Metal Miniatures, and 5 rare Summon Tickets, which can be used in the game.

Developed by A-Lim, the free-to-play mobile spinoff includes all the classic Final Fantasy tropes, including turn-based-combat, dungeon navigating, and open-world exploration. And yes, there are microtransactions, but seeing as the last mobile game in the series was the wretched All the Bravest, which was specifically designed to assault your wallet as much as possible (it appeared on many ‘Worst Games of 2013 lists”) Brave Exvius is a huge step forward.

But, it would be a fair assessment to view it as the starter before the main course. Because Final Fantasy XV is releasing on September 30, 2016 on PS4 and Xbox One, and it’s gonna sell like crazy.
