I’m not quite sure how this news has already been out for twelve hours and I am just now hearing about it. Blame Pokemon Go.
As suspected by various fans and content creators online, the first post-launch Overwatch Hero will be a sniper-healer. According to Blizzard, her name is Ana and she’s the mother of Pharah. She’s also missing a right eye, which is believed to be because of Widowmaker, so expect someone to make some porn out of that somehow within the next ten minutes.

Using a biotic rifle, she is able to heal allies from distance and also send enemies to sleep, which should come in handy when you know an Ultimate is on its way. Her own Ultimate will give allies better speed, damage and durability, which isn’t too bad a package.

No news on when she’s being released for play, though. Shouldn’t be too long (you would hope).
