Hook has somehow become one of the most popular wrestlers on the planet today, mostly for just staying mute and off-screen for the best part of his AEW career so far. Since debuting, fans turned his meme-potential into huge crowd reactions and scored him an undefeated streak which has included wins over the likes of QT Marshall and other members of The Factory.
Hook has yet to blossom into a regular on Dynamite, but he is being treated as a hot export for the indies, as he will soon be making his independent debut for US indie Create a Pro in Melville, NY on May 14th.
Tickets for the NY show go on sale today at midday (ET) and will likely be a quick sell-out if AEW talent are on the card. This is going to be a great opportunity for Hook to sink his teeth into a new style of wrestling, as it stands, he’s only wrestled 6 matches for AEW and despite being incredibly talented, in order to get to the next level, he needs to broaden his experience.
Hook’s Create a Pro opponent has yet to be determined by management but the roster can be assured that they’ve all been put on notice.
