AEW star Thunder Rosa has suffered an unfortunate injury before her big Women’s championship match at Revolution 2022. Despite the bad bump, Rosa is still scheduled to compete against Britt Baker for the AEW Women’s Championship on Sunday’s show.
The injury was sustained as part of this week’s episode of Dynamite, though there is no exact confirmation on what the injury was and its severity. However, if the reports of Thunder Rosa still being expected to compete at Revolution are true, then we can assume that it isn’t too major of an injury.
Many fans expected this to be Rosa’s crowning moment as the new AEW Women’s Champion, following a lengthy feud that has been two years in the making. Rosa and Baker’s most iconic performance was part of last year’s St. Patrick’s Day Smash episode of Dynamite, where the two fought in a bloody Lights Out match in the show’s main event.
