Too Many Humans Puts You In Control of Zombie Masses

Time to finally stick it to those still-breathing jerks.

Too Many Humans

French video game studio RealityZ’s new title, Too Many Humans, launches today. Too Many Humans is a real-time strategy game wherein players control hordes of zombies with the goal of tearing down the structures of mankind once and for all.

Too Many Humans’ narrative involves Gaia, Goddess of Earth, finally getting sick of humanity’s pollution and environmental destruction and turning to her brother Phtisis to raise an army of undead that will destroy humanity. Players will command the legions of the dead and use their unique abilities to unseat humankind in battle.

Billed as a “tower defense in reverse,” Too Many Humans will see players flipping the script on typical RTS encounters by emphasizing the strategies of what’s usually an antagonistic force in similar games. Players will have to collect resources and recruit (in other words, infect) new zombies for their army, use mutations to adapt the zombies’ abilities, and rout the enemy using clever strategies that engage with their zombies’ abilities and the battlefield’s terrain.

Julien Millet, creative director at RealityZ said about the game: “After spending what could be considered a lifetime playing Zerg in the various Starcraft games, I wanted to recreate the feeling of the horde coming and going and harassing the opponent to the point of exhaustion, while making the control easier and more intuitive. I hope that players will find this experience in Too Many humans.”

The first episode, out now, features seven levels that focus on spreading the infection on the world’s number one polluter, the United States. Episodes 2 and 3 are scheduled for February and June 2022 respectively, will further build up new mechanics and environments for RTS players who want to Zerg Rush the heck out of some human-filled bases.

Too Many Humans’ first episode is available now on PC.
