Orion Pictures just released the official trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music, turning a mundane Tuesday into an excellent one. Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter and William Sadler return for this third installment in the series. Other cast members include Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy-Paine, Jillian Bell, Jayma Mays, Anthony Carrigan, Kristen Schaal, Erinn Hayes, Holland Taylor, Amy Stoch and Kid Cudi.
It has been thirty years since we hung out with Bill and Ted, and in this film, they are tasked with writing an epic song that will reunite the world (we definitely need that now), fulfilling their destiny. The problem is, they’re not sure where to start, so this means a trip to the future to steal said song from their future selves.
Is it stealing if you’re stealing from yourself? Bill and Ted get us to ponder on true philosophical questions. In the future they meet their daughters, played by Weaving and Lundy-Paine, who help them on their quest. They also receive help from various historical and musical legends.
The film is directed by Dean Parisot, from a screenplay penned by original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon. Bill & Ted Face the Music will be released August 21, 2020.
