Yakuza: Like A Dragon Seemingly Heading To Steam

Before a release date has been announced.

Yakuza 7

Before a Western release date of the game has been confirmed for PS4, a Steam listing for Yakuza: Like A Dragon has emerged. Previously known as Yakuza 7, Like A Dragon has been available in Japan since January, so the recent Steam listing suggests that a Western announcement could be on the way. The Steam database listing was spotted by @Wario64.

It’s worth noting that Steam database listing aren’t necessarily a guarantee that the game will be heading to Steam, but it’s usually a solid indication, and it points to the idea that Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are close to announced a Western release date. It’s possible it might even be a same day release for PS4 and PC, which would be a first for the series.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is a departure from the traditional series in a number of key ways. Instead of focusing on usual series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu, players control Ichiban Kasuga. Also, the game isn’t a brawler. It’s a turn-based RPG. Like I said, it’s a departure, but one that could be truly interesting for fans of the series.
