5 WWE Superstars Who Should Beat Brock Lesnar

It’s almost a given Brock Lesnar will capture the Universal Championship at Wrestlemania 33, but win or lose he still remains a threat to the full-time guys. There are few that can match up to Lesnar, yet most of those few he’s taken straight to Suplex City. Even though most who step up seem to fall just as quickly there are some that are more than deserving at a shot to defeat the beast incarnate and here they are.

5. Cesaro

My preferred slayer of the beast, Cesaro, is long overdue a push in the WWE and I believe this is the way for him to “grab the brass ring.” Cesaro has had an up and down career in the WWE at one point contesting for the title and winning the 1st Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, then dropping down to the midcard having a brief tag run with Tyson Kidd and being ‘lucky’ enough to being featured on the Wrestlemania 31 kickoff show. Now currently working alongside former rival Sheamus, Cesaro is being set to compete in a Triple Tag match also featuring The Club and Enzo & Cass. So what’s next for him after Mania? Perhaps a win over Lesnar?

4. Samoa Joe

Fairly new to the main roster, Samoa Joe had an impressive PPV debut against a man who would’ve been number 6 on this list, Sami Zayn. As Triple H’s muscle Joe has been on a warpath as of late destroying his competition and demanding what he wants down in NXT, before being called up and taking Seth Rollins out until Wrestlemania. Being labelled as The Destroyer, he is more than fit to go up against and defeat Lesnar. Doing so would not only enhance his label but cement him as the “new beast” and “the next big thing.”

3. Finn Balor

The Demon King still has his championship rematch. Why not cash that in after Mania? Perhaps the smallest guy on this list, he is maybe the most likely to defeat Lesnar. The man is loved by all and his two different personas would be interesting to watch during the buildup, including a possible interaction between Heyman and the Demon King. Balor wouldn’t even need to stay face for this. He could turn heel and align himself with The Club, which a lot have predicted and hoped for since their signing, and use them to his advantage. The feud and win would be a story featuring one of the greatest comebacks and would capture the underdog moments the WWE have been trying to recreate.  Either as a face or heel, whenever he decides to pop back onto our TV screens he is straight back into that title picture.

2. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt WWE champion

A match rumoured to take place at last year’s Wrestlemania, a defeat for Lesnar at the hands of Bray Wyatt would sky rocket Wyatt to another level. To watch the promos and segments between the two men and Wyatt slowly get in the head of Lesnar and his advocate would be interesting, as both men slowly descend into a state of madness and a place neither has been. We know Wyatt would be looking for a new place to live now the Wyatt Family Compound has been burnt down, so maybe he can burn down Suplex City and rebuild there?

1. Shinsuke Nakamura

Shinsuke Nakamura NXT 2017

The only man on the list not yet called up is also the most desired to defeat the beast. Shinsuke Nakamura is one of the most popular guys not just in NXT, and is one of the best wrestlers in the world. So, for a great wrestler, a fitting debut should accompany them. The Raw after Mania is one of the most anticipated and exciting nights of the year, and this year should feature a celebratory or furious Lesnar, along with Heyman, so why not put the two together and have them meet? Preferably this feud wouldn’t stick with only one match and would feature the two trading wins with each other through the year. Nakamura would be crowned the winner of the war with the final blow and victory, and therefore go on with a legendary career.

And there’s my list, please share it around and feel free to respond and bring up a Superstar I may have left out.
