5 Potential Feuds For Brock Lesnar

Who should Mr. Money in the Bank feud with next?

Brock Lesnar has been one of the strongest booked wrestlers since his return to WWE back in 2012. Some fans are tired of seeing the same old domination from Brock and really see no value in him as a performer anymore. After Brock’s surprise Money in the Bank win, a great amount of fans let out a collective groan, as they see Lesnar take another main event spot away from an up and coming superstar.

Even though most fans hate to admit it, Brock Lesnar has proved his ability to do what he does best inside the ring. There are still many superstars in WWE that Brock hasn’t gone toe-to-toe with. We’re going to break down five potential opponents for Brock Lesnar going forward.

1. Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley

This feud writes itself and it’s surprising that WWE haven’t capitalized on it. Brock Lesnar is a former UFC Heavyweight Champion and Bobby Lashley has had a pretty successful career in the MMA world, with a career MMA record of 15-2.

These two men have never stepped in the ring together. It would have the potential to be an unstoppable force against an immovable object type of scenario. I would imagine it would go in the direction of Bobby Lashley saying he has the tools to defeat the Beast. This could lead to some weekly vignettes of the harsh training that Lashley is going through without Lesnar having to show up. An amateur wrestling style scrapfest would ensue and the match could be a hit.

2. Brock Lesnar vs. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has proved over the years to be one of the world’s premier in-ring performers. We see how many quality matches Lesnar has been involved in when adding a smaller framed wrestler into the fold. Finn Balor, Daniel Bryan, and AJ Styles all put on incredible matches with Lesnar, so it looks like the lighter wrestlers bring out another side of the Beast Incarnate

Zayn’s face persona would be much better in this feud to really show off the David versus Goliath perspective. This would most likely be met with about six suplexes but the comedy potential is huge. We haven’t seen these two meet in the ring other than an in ring segment where Sami Zayn took a suplex for pal Kevin Owens. Zayn has also stated in interviews that he would like to go face-to-face with Brock in a match.

3. Brock Lesnar vs. The Miz

The Miz WWE

Two WWE veterans that have competed in WWE for over a decade and never having a program together? That is the situation between Brock Lesnar and The Miz. The Miz debuted in late 2005 and Lesnar left his first WWE stint a year prior. Even after Lesnar returned in 2012, there wasn’t any real segment put together between the Beast and the A-lister other than a Miz TV episode back in August of 2017. They have faced off during a live event back in early 2018 but it never led to anything past that.

The Miz has gained a reputation for being one of the hardest workers in the business. He rose through the ranks by being one of the greatest heel characters of all time whilst still being likeable in the babyface role. This could be a feud built around Miz mocking Lesnar for taking the easy way through the world of WWE, and being given everything on a silver platter. The promos would resemble a ‘pipebomb’, where the A-lister bashes Lesnar for never being fully appreciative of what WWE has given him. Also, bringing up how he has stayed week in and week out for over a decade could put the point across further. As far as the in ring performance, The Miz has shown the ability to put on quality matches and would likely look good in the underdog role against the Beast.

4. Brock Lesnar vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt

This technically was a mini feud back in 2016 at the Roadblock PPV. We saw the Wyatt Family attack Lesnar to set-up the match between he and Wyatt, but what we actually saw Luke Harper take his place and get destroyed. It was a confusing situation as to why Wyatt wasn’t put in the ring as advertised, the main consensus being that Wyatt was injured, and it never went anywhere after that.

Right now, with his Firefly Funhouse gimmick, Bray Wyatt has seemingly relit the flame of his career. Arguably, more people than ever are talking about Wyatt and his split personalities. Adding him and Lesnar together could be an interesting dynamic. We haven’t seen the newly revamped Wyatt in the ring and how, if at all, his in ring style has changed. Either way the promos, the vignettes, and the pure brutal style of both superstars could lead to one of the most deadly rivalries of the PG era if done correctly. We’ve never seen Brock Lesnar really fear anyone but we’d imagine Wyatt’s new horror movie mask would send chills down anyone’s spine.

1. Brock Lesnar vs. Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens

Brock Lesnar and Kevin Owens have often been subject of rumors for a future program together. It all started back on the indie scene, when Kevin Owens added a very familiar move of Lesnar’s to his repertoire; the F5. The superkick, chokeslam, and DDT have all been copied because they’re pretty easy to replicate but when someone starts doing a move like the F5, fans begin to talk. Bringing that F5 back into Owens’ arsenal and hitting it on Lesnar would be a shock that no one would see coming.

Their styles match up very well. Both big, both brawlers, and both can cut a good promo (Owens by himself and Lesnar through Heyman). A great storyline that could potentially work would be Owens using his mind games to tease everyone into thinking that Heyman is making Owens the next “Paul Heyman guy”. Heyman, being a huge turn coat throughout his career, makes this more believable even though there is zero truth behind it. Brock gets paranoid and Owens can take advantage of this. Both men are veterans and would definitely put on a great program together.
