A deal a year in the making between WWE and NBCUniversal has finally been struck. The renowned WWE Network streaming service has now been made exclusive to the Peacock streaming service for US subscribers, with the platform officially shutting down on March 18th.
Along with this move, the WWE Network’s price will be reduced from $9.99 to $4.99, a massive bargain considering the sizable library that’s currently available.
Official sales figures have yet to be revealed, but some sources have claimed that it’s near to $1 billion over a five year period. International subscribers will be glad to hear that the WWE Network will be unaffected for the foreseeable future, however with Peacock’s net worth growing, it could be assumed that there might be changes down the line.
A huge get for NBCUniversal just in time for WrestleMania 37. Will you be renewing your subscription in March? Let us know in the comments below.
