War Dog meets the Big Dog?

AEW’s Wardlow has caught the eye of WWE’s talent scouts as reports suggest that WWE have become very interested in signing the burly heavyweight once his contract expires. Wardlow has been winning over fans with some of his most recent, dominant performances on both Dynamite and Rampage. It seems that his work has even gone as far as impressing the big-wigs in Stamford, who will be making big money plays for ‘War Dog’ when his expiry comes.

Wardlow will be stepping into the biggest match of his career when he faces CM Punk on tonight’s episode of Dynamite. With CM Punk and MJF currently putting together one of the hottest feuds on television, there’s no doubt that Wardlow will also benefit greatly from this marquee attention. Wardlow seems to be being poised to step up into championship competition, perhaps around the time of the Face of the Revolution Ladder match at next month’s pay-per-view.

There is no word on when Wardlow’s AEW contract is set to expire, but I suspect we’ll be hearing a lot more of this interest from WWE when that time draws near. With WWE’s new investment in bigger, more ‘realistic’ talent, there’s no shock that Wardlow’s name will be high on their list of prospects.
