Team17 have announced that Worms Rumble will be launching on PC, PS4 and PS5 this December, with full cross-play support across all platforms. However, in order to test the cross-play, there will be a beta taking place next month. The open beta will take place on November 6th, and is designed to test out the cross-play capabilities.

What Is Worms Rumble?

Worms Rumble is a reinvention of the classic Team17 franchise, removing the classic turn-based combat from the original games and creating a 32-player real-time battle arena, using plenty of returning favourite weapons and tools. Jetpacks, bazookas and Holy Hand Grenades all make a reappearance, though if there’s no Concrete Donkey, we riot. Players will duke it out in Deathmatch and Squads mode on two confirmed maps at launch, Missile Mall and Portal Park, which has also been revealed today.

How Can I Get Hold Of Worms Rumble?

Pre-orders are currently live for the game on Steam, with an incredibly reasonable asking price of $14.99/£10.99/€14.99. Pre-ordering the game will also unlock the New Challenger pack, which includes a plethora of customisation options for your Worm, because it wouldn’t be a Worms game without the ability to unlock some silly hats and items. I swear, if there’s no Scouser voice pack, we’ll also riot.
