Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – How To Enable HDR

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is one of the best looking games that Team Ninja has ever produced, with ancient China offering a vibrant world to run around and inevitably die in. To make this world even more eye-catching, you’re going to want to switch on HDR in Wo Long and really let those colors pop.

To enable HDR in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, go to System > Graphics Settings, then toggle Enable HDR to on. All you being well, you will then be able to fiddle with the HDR settings until you get your balance right.

However, if this HDR option is greyed out, it means that something isn’t right somewhere. Usually, it’s to do with your display.

On PC, this is a common problem. Simply go to Settings > System > Display > HDR and then toggle Use HDR to on. If there’s no option for HDR, it likely means that your monitor isn’t able to display HDR images.

If you’re using a TV, it may be a similar situation, with the method of enabling HDR being different for every manufacturer out there, but you’re likely going to find the answers you need in settings, specifically video.

Beware that there are still TVs/setups out there that are “HDR ready”, which means precisely nothing. These displays can recognise a HDR signal, but can’t actually do anything with it. What you want is a HDR compatible display instead.

If you know you have a HDR compliant display and still aren’t able to enable HDR in Wo Long, it may be a console thing, though all of them should have it enabled by default.

For PS4, go to Settings > Sound and Screen > Video Output Settings and fiddle with the settings there. On PS5, go to Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > HDR and select always on. For Xbox, go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes and choose the HDR option in there.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S.
