Wasteland 3 Has Already Surpassed Its Crowdfunding Goal

Well, that certainly didn’t take very long. Wasteland 3 has hit its crowdfunding goal on Fig in just three days. This is all the more impressive when you take into account that its goal was $2,750,000, which is much higher than what most projects set out to raise. With just under 26 days remaining, its final amount is expected to be exponentially high.

Wasteland 3 will return players to the titular post-apocalyptic wasteland of the series, only this time, everything will be frozen over. To be precise, it actually takes place in Colorado, or what’s left of it. In the style of most western RPGs these days, the player will be presented with moral choices which can have an effect on the outcome of the plot, so it sounds like you will need to play through the game several times to experience everything that it has to offer.

inXile Entertainment are returning to deliver what looks like it could be the best installment in the series yet. Wasteland 2 was both a critical and financial success, earning over $12 million in revenue, so it is not surprising that such a dedicated fanbase has come forward to fund the third game. And while Wasteland 3 does not yet have a confirmed release date, the fact that it has now surpassed its crowdfunding goal means that fans will probably not have too long to wait before they can get their hands on the third entry in the acclaimed post-apocalyptic franchise.
