One of the most underrated games from last year was the “Shark-PG” Maneater, where you controlled a massive, genetically altered shark seeking revenge for the death of their mother. Well, Tripwire aren’t finished yet, as they’ve announced a campaign expansion for the game, Truth Quest. Check out the trailer at the top of the page.
What’s The Deal With Truth Quest?
Truth Quest deals with a variety of conspiracies regarding Port Clovis and the Naval Wildlife Organization, or the NWO if you prefer. Not sure if Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash will also be involved. Anyway, there’s proof of a government cover-up, and Trip Westhaven, narrator for the original game and voiced by SNL alumni Chris Parnell, is determined to get to the bottom of it.
The expansion will see the level cap for the game increased to level 40, with five new organ evolutions and a new organ slot unlocked at level 40. Oh, and your massive shark will get even bigger too. There’ll be a new Uber Apex Predator, new evolved hunt creatures, and five extra bounty bosses that’ll see the military try to take you out.
Truth Quest will launch this summer for PC via the Epic Games Store, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S, and will cost $14.99 / €14.99 / £12.99. The base game of Maneater is also coming to the Nintendo Switch next month, but the press release didn’t specify a Switch release for Truth Quest. We’ve asked PR, and will update if there’s a response.
