Trepang2 Shooting Its Way Onto PC This June

Guns. Lots of guns.

Trepang2

Trepang Studios and Team17 have announced that their highly anticipated first person shooter, Trepang2, is set to launch on PC on June 21st, with the game available to wishlist right now on Steam. To celebrate the news, Team17 have published a brand new trailer on their YouTube channel, which you can check out at the top of the page.

A throwback to mid-2000s first person shooters like F.E.A.R. and others, Trepang2 is a high octane shooter filled with incredible guns, amazing superpowers and a melee combat system that could put some beat ’em ups to shame. As a newly enhanced super soldier with no memories and has been broken out of a blacksite by mysterious allies, you’re tasked with taking your captors head on, surviving an onslaught of armed goons and otherworldly foes in the process.

While the gunfights are certainly impressive, Trepang2’s use of powers is what’s going to set the game apart from other first person shooters on the market. From the trailer alone, we can see that the protagonist wields incredible speed and power, able to dropkick people with ease, or pick them up and throw them around the room. With invisibility also on the cards, allowing for some sick stealth takedowns, Trepang2 could be one of the best shooters of the whole year.

Now, I’m just going to cross my fingers that it gets verified for the Steam Deck.
