SEGA have taken to the stage at Summer Game Fest to announce that Classic Sonic is making a comeback, only with a new look. It’s called Sonic Superstars, and it’s meant to be a return to the old school Sonic gameplay, only with some new twists and powers. Check out the gameplay trailer for yourself at the top of the page.
Sonic Superstars sees Sonic taking on Dr Eggman once again in an adventure that gives the pair a brand new look. Players will be able to play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy Rose in an adventure that’ll see the four unleashing new powers and abilities, while retaining those old school physics and gameplay fans of classic Sonic will enjoy.
Sonic Superstars will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S and Nintendo Switch later this year.
