After a lengthy absence, Mount Kimbie are putting out new material again and their collaboration game is on point. Their first new single featured James Blake, and now there’s a second, Marilyn, which features Micachu, otherwise known as Mica Levi. It’s hard to think of another artist whose vocals would be better suited to Mount Kimbie’s production style, and sure enough Levi delivers.
The video was directed by fashion photographer Mark Lebon, and features footage of his son, Frank Lebon, during various stages of his childhood. Interestingly, Frank Lebon actually directed the video to the previous single. Alongside the new material, Mount Kimbie also just announced a huge European tour starting this October, covering Liverpool, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, London and Glasgow here in the UK, then on to the continent.
