If you're playing it, see you in a week or two.

Sekiro

If you’ve been looking forward to being punished for daring to be alive, you will be happy to know that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision, Sekiro is the newest game from the masters of masochism, and while it shares some DNA with the Soulsborne titles, it’s a different beast. There’s actually a storyline you can follow without delving into lore this time out.

“Explore late 1500s Sengoku Japan, a brutal period of constant life and death conflict, as you come face-to-face with larger than life foes in a dark and twisted world. Unleash an arsenal of deadly prosthetic tools and powerful ninja abilities while you blend stealth, vertical traversal, and visceral head-to-head combat in a bloody confrontation.

Take Revenge. Restore Your Honor. Kill Ingeniously.”

Critical reception to the game has already been very positive indeed with it being rated as one of the best games of 2019 so far. With a 91 on PC, 89 on PS4, and 92 on Xbox One at this time of writing, Sekiro is already shaping up to land on many GOTY lists.

We didn’t get code, so expect our review (coincidentally the only one anyone could ever need) sometime over the next week.
