Tanya is an orphaned girl born in Europe in the early 1910s and thrust into the onset of an alternate World War I, where she rained bullets, magic, and mayhem over anyone unfortunate enough to get in the way of this nine-year-old’s rise to power. Despite only having 12 episodes for Season 1, the series managed to capture a huge demographic of fans eagerly waiting to see what over-the-top, ridiculous, and downright illegal actions Tanya will make on her quest to be promoted and live a comfortable life.
With such a cult following, everyone can’t help but wonder if Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 will ever see a release.
When is Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 Coming Out?
There has yet to be an announcement when Saga of Tanya the Evil Season is coming out. However, on June 19, 2021, it was announced that the second season of Saga of Tanya the Evil is already in production. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer and key visual, which you can see above.
If we had to guess, considering how long Season 2 has been in production for already, Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 should release sometime in 2023.
Is Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 a Movie?
Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 will not be a movie, but a new season will be airing on television. However, Saga of Tanya the Evil already has a movie. The film was released on February 8, 2019, and appropriately titled “Saga of Tanya the Evil- the Movie.” So while waiting for the announcement for season 2 of Saga of Tanya the Evil to be dropped, fans can watch the movie in the meantime.
What is Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 About?
Although not much can currently be said about what Saga of Tanya the Evil: Season 2 will entail, it’s safe to assume from the teaser trailer that the already dark anime is about to take a turn for the worse.
In the teaser trailer, we have a cryptic voice message from Lieutenant General Hans von Zettour lamenting the current situation of the empire, being surrounded by all sides, making an enemy of the world, and having to face the strategic nightmare of being attacked by enemies from the East and West. The voice message ends with the Lieutenant General saying that although the situation isn’t favorable, there is still one way to turn it around, one way to rectify their mistakes, and that is to take down one man.
The voice message ends after that, but it can be speculated that the SOS message was sent to none other than our diabolical protagonist Tanya and her Mage Battalion so they can swoop in and save the day.
